About the Event

This is an invitation to come as you are, open your heart-center, and create something beautiful for yourself and your loved one(s). Often in Western culture, death and loss is seen as something to run from, especially the pain and suffering from deep within. While, leaning into the spiral of grief, with all its waves, is a portal toward healing and growth. When we choose to see grief as a wild expression of love that needs a place to go, then we can start to move the grief through our personal exploration.  When somebody dies, the physical form is no longer present, yet the relationship continues regardless of good or bad. It is bonded by ‘invisible heartstrings’.

In this workshop, we will be focusing on the three Cs: Calm, Comfort, and Connection.  Your parasympathetic nervous system will be soothed with grounding exercises along with a guided meditation. You will be held in sacred circle to share your stories and activate your heartstrings through creative contemplative activities including the use of metaphor and altar box creation. The take-away is a transformational experience that gives you tools for your self-healing toolkit.  You will take home a special altar box to interplay with to honor, to remember, and to connect with yourself, your heartstrings, and your precious loved one(s). Most likely, you will find more peace in your heart and inspiration to carry on. Xo

Please bring a few special objects for the group altar AND altar box creation that reminds you of your person(s)/loss along with photo(s) for both. Any adorning objects for your altar box are welcome so you can create an authentic  piece full of meaning for you.
