About the Event

“Honor the sacred. Honor the Earth, our Mother. Honor all with whom we share the Earth walk in balance and beauty.”

~ Robert Muller

Mother’s Day and the time leading up to this important invocation of love, gratitude, and connection can be a catalyst for grief and sacred tears. It can be a reminder of our struggle and the personal narrative we carry in relation to “The Mother”. The term Mother and the relationships that circumnavigate ‘her’ are rooted in the divine feminine within us and among the lineage and life experience we carry in mind, body, and soul.

Who is this Journey for?

Maybe you lost your Mother or you are a bereaved Mother who has endured the loss of a child or children. You could be estranged from your Mother or you are a Mother estranged from your children and walking through a living death. An adopted child of a nurturing soul, or a Mother who wasn’t able to have children. The list is vast and dynamic. Degrees of grief is not something to compare to others. There is space for it all in this sacred space of healing the Mother wound, whatever it means for you.

This is an invitation….

to gift yourself the sacred space for your big, beautiful heart! It’s a place to connect with your love within the sorrow and to be safely held and creatively guided in the allowance of what needs to come through as you lean in. It is a journey of the sacred heart ❤️ which leads toward compassion for self and other while ‘ honoring The Mother’ in your own authentic way.

You are invited to commune in sacred circle in the yurt in the woods surrounded by nature’s embrace. To arrive exactly how you are with ample space to be yourself without pretense. To intentionally honor and creatively metabolize what speaks from your ‘sacred dwelling’ within. This will be an empowering vehicle to; stimulate needed expression, enhance meaning, and support deep healing, emotional liberation, and a greater sense of lightness in your life.

"We are not accustomed to thinking of grief as a process of finding comfort"

~ George Bonanno

As a bereaved Mother, a Grief Doula, and someone who has a tumultuous and estranged relationship with my own Mother, I realize how intimidating it can be to show up and participate fully in this kind of journey. However, I highly encourage this profoundly courageous work so that you can use it as an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to free yourself. Grief is universal and the power of choosing to transform it is life affirming, especially within a sacred community gathering of the hearts. ❤️ I often see people leave a grief workshop with a bright smile on their face after arriving in a state of anxious anticipation and sorrow. Please refer to The Grief Garden on my website for further encouragement and resources.

You will have the opportunity to:

~ Co-create a group altar and sacred circle ceremony

~ Explore your personal story and paradigm of ‘Mother’

~ Create a ‘bouquet of love’ to support loss, continued bonds, and dialogues

~ Compost grief and enhance restoration through guided movement, breathwork,

    and meditation

~ Harness reflection and insight through therapeutic exercises

~ Develop resiliency, self-healing tools, and trust in the process

~ Shape Meaningful intentions moving forward

* Please remember that tending the heart requires a nurturing space and ample time to immerse oneself and then step back out after the container is closed. This journey will be 5 hrs. to give ourselves this precious gift along with time to share a provided lunch. 😊 Your Healing is worth your time and energy.
