About the Event

The off-center, in-between state is an ideal situation in which to open our hearts and minds beyond limit” ~ Pema Chödrön

Bringing in the New Year 2023: Are you in the middle of a big life transition? Have you lost somebody you love and feel the rug torn out from underneath you? Maybe you are struggling with uncertainty of what’s next and are existing in an unresolved place of ambiguity? Do you find yourself on the verge of a breakthrough? Maybe you have a strong orientation that you aren’t who you used to be, yet your next becoming has not yet been initiated or revealed?

These circumstance, and more, can be seen as ‘liminal space’. In Latin, the word ‘limin’ means a ‘threshold’. Liminality is the in between space that can be vast, uncertain, uncomfortable, fearful, anxiety ridden, heavy, complex, unclear, chaotic, full of anguish, and much more. Liminal space journeys can repeatedly bring us to our knees with circumstances such as death, divorce, disease, personal lifecycles, etc. It challenges the body, mind, and soul.

“Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final.”  Rilke

It is also a sacred place full of unbirthed potential and potent heart medicine. It’s the classic story of the caterpillar metamorphosizing into a beautiful butterfly so it can FLY. The struggle is real. No doubt, suffering changes you. If you let it, what happens to you becomes fuel for something new! Pain coexists within our innate human ability to carry sorrow, death, grief, transitional angst, and ‘dis-ease’. We can balance these challenging states while allowing vital life force energy to fill our cup with joy and resilience to live a full life. Our ability to choose ‘how to grief surf’ is available to us in every moment, while divine source holds us with the utmost care and love even when we have lost all hope. Sometimes we need support and guidance to help us remember!

Come and join me for a transformational five-to-six-hour deep dive into the realms of liminal space! It takes time to visit the deep waters and surface with release and fresh perspective. Grief work is not linear. You will emerge from this experience either crossing your personal threshold or planting seeds/foundation for your upcoming flight!  Your liberation is worth the personal investment it takes to lean in and to explore your inner-landscape while creating meaning and building your self-healing toolkit.

You will have the opportunity to:

~ Sit in circle inside the healing yurt in the woods and ground outside in nature

~ Build a group altar and share what’s in your heart

~ Gain insight about your personal journey of liminal space and explore your voice(s) from the threshold

~ Explore ‘grief surfing’ to support mindsets, application/integration, and resilience through the 4 F's.

~ create sacred grief art that plays with the power of metaphor and instills meaning making, purpose, and agency

~ Practice ‘grief composting’; to process some of the grief and pain that is held within your body through breath, sound, and movement. I will guide you through a revealing process to nurture truth, restoration, release, and empowerment within yourself. No experience is necessary.

Melanie Reeves, Ancient instrument specialist/player, will be with us providing sound healing with the didjeridoo and other ancient instruments. She is a gifted musician who undertands the implementation and process of vibrational affects on our human condition. You will experience deep restoration and a gentle clearing of the heart and mind.

“We cannot cut through our reactions unless we are aware of our sensory experience in the body”  ~ Tara Brach

I would love to share these highly affective practices with you. They have come to my aid time and time again as I visit the depths of my own grief journey. It is a part of my purpose to share and to serve others. It feels good to move, to invoke, and to feel some relief with lasting affects. Most likely, you will walk away feeling lighter with some tools in your pocket.

Price includes: art supplies, snacks, tea, a full lunch, and lots of love
