About the Event

Known as the Pagan Thanksgiving, Mabon marks the Autumn Equinox, when day and night are equal, making it a time of balance, equality and harmony.  In ancient times Mabon was a celebration of the second harvest, when farmers gathered hearty foods like gourds, pumpkins, grapes and apples.

Modern Mabon celebrations are a time to give thanks for the abundance of Mother Earth - both literally and spiritually.  It’s also a good time to reflect on the Wheel of the Year, recognizing your successes and letting go of the things that did not serve you during the past twelve months.

Join us, in the healing yurt in the woods, in honoring this season shift by connecting with the transitions and cycles within our own bodies and spirits. We will practice breathwork cycles as a healing modality, go on a shamanic journey to discover what we are planting and harvesting in our lives, journal, connect by sharing, and enjoy a relaxing and grounding sound bath meditation by Ashley of Wise Heart Energy.

More about breathwork…

Breath work is a therapeutic breathing practice that is intended to help with emotional healing and personal growth.

It’s said to produce an altered state of consciousness. The process involves breathing at a fast rate for minutes to hours. This changes the balance between carbon dioxide and oxygen in the body. You are guided through the exercise by someone who is trained in this emotional release modality. Breath work is said to facilitate mental, spiritual, and physical healing benefits. It's thought to have the potential to bring about improved self-awareness and a more positive outlook on life.
